Le Cordon Bleu London is searching for some of the country’s most passionate food and cooking enthusiasts – regardless of age, location or background – giving them the chance to hit the career reset button and study at the world’s leading culinary arts institution.

The Prize

Worth over £45,000!

The Julia Child Scholarship is about offering a once in a lifetime opportunity to the most passionate food and cooking enthusiast living in the United Kingdom.

The 2018 winner will be awarded a place on our most prestigious course, the Grand Diplôme®. The 9 month course comprises two diplomas studied simultaneously: the Diplôme de Pâtisserie and Diplôme de Cuisine.

Throughout the tuition, the winner will also be invited to meet some of our most successful London-based alumni for one-to-one mentoring sessions including Luciana Berry, Eran Tibi, Adam Ashe and Hideko Kawa.

Following the first 9 months, s/he will also carry out an internship under the guidance of esteemed chef Monica Galetti at Mere Restaurant.

Also included in this outstanding prize, is luxury accommodation courtesy of Londonist, which the successful candidate will enjoy for 12 months.

How to apply

The Julia Child Scholarship by Le Cordon Bleu is open to everyone who is lawfully a permanent resident in United Kingdom. You need to be at least 18 years old and make sure you read and understand our terms and conditions before applying.

Step 1
Prepare the responses to the four following questions

Have your CV ready in Word or PDF.

Step 3
If you would like to add any additional documents to support your application, please make sure they are also ready to be uploaded.

Step 4
Submit your application by Wednesday 18th April 2018 23h59.

The semi-final and Grand Final will both take place in London mid-May and beginning of June respectively .
