Le Cordon Bleu: 130 Years of History, Excellence, and Passion!

In 1895, in the heart of Paris, the visionary journalist Marthe Distel founded Le Cordon Bleu, inspired by the tradition of the Order of the Holy Spirit (l'Ordre du Saint-Esprit) — whose blue ribbon (le cordon bleu) symbolized the most refined banquets of the French monarchy.

Under the leadership of Monsieur André J. Cointreau, beginning in 1984, the institution expanded to become the international benchmark network for teaching gastronomy, hospitality, and management — present in over 20 countries, with more than 35 institutes, and training over 20,000 students annually.

Celebrating this milestone in Brazil, at the foot of one of the world's most emblematic monuments, is no accident. It is the reaffirmation of our commitment to training new talents, uniting the precision of French techniques with the cultural diversity and richness of Brazilian ingredients, and offering not only the culinary art but also the vision of management and hospitality that drives the sector.

The event — featuring a cocktail reception designed by our chefs — brought together partners, media outlets, chefs, and guests, and was graced by the special presence of Aliénor Cointreau, Le Cordon Bleu Executive in Europe and daughter of the institution's President, in addition to Carla Rosas, General Manager of Le Cordon Bleu Rio de Janeiro and Marketing Director for Brazil.

Here's to the next 130 years of passion, innovation, management, and flavor! 🥂🇫🇷🇧🇷
