Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa Nominated For Best Culinary Training Institution 2023

Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa is once again recognized on world stage with the nomination in the North America's Best Culinary Training Institution 2023 category, at the World Culinary Awards.

Our international faculty of Le Cordon Bleu Chefs and industry professionals continue to gain worldwide recognition for the delivery of world-class content year after year!

In its fourth year, the aim of the World Culinary Awards is to celebrate and reward excellence in the culinary industry around the globe. Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa won the distinction last year and is extremely proud to be nominated again.

Meilleur Croissant du Grand Paris: an alumna wins third place

Hiva Manutahi, an alumna of the Diplôme de Pâtisserie with Internship Pathway, came third in the Best Charentes-Poitou PDO Butter Croissant in the Grand Paris competition, apprentice category. 

The results were announced on Monday, 15 May 2023, during the traditional Fête du Pain held on the square in front of Notre Dame de Paris. Since 2022, she has been a pastry and bakery assistant at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and produces croissants every day at the Le Café, open to the public from Monday to Friday.


Combining sushi with wine, a challenge taken up by Justice, Head Sommelier & Wine Buyer

Having completed the Wine and Management Diploma in 2021, Justice Derrick is now Head Sommelier & Wine Buyer in Dallas, Texas, for an Edomae style sushi restaurant called Namo, featuring an omakase experience. All of the food and ingredients are sourced directly from Japan and are shipped weekly in order to provide one of the best sushi dining experiences in the world. His current goal at Namo is simply to create the best curation of wines available in the state. Hardworking and full of projects, he is looking to begin a wine import/distribution business in the coming year or two.
