Le Cordon Bleu marks 130 years of gastronomic innovation with milestone awards, alumni tributes, and a showcase of next-gen talent in Bangkok


Bangkok, Thailand – 26th September 2025, Le Cordon Bleu Dusit - Culinary Arts School,  the world’s most prestigious network of culinary and hospitality institutes, proudly celebrated its 130th Anniversary with the Alumni Awards & Graduation Ceremony at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Culinary School in Bangkok. This landmark occasion honored 130 years of culinary excellence, innovation, and legacy while highlighting the strong partnership with Dusit International that has flourished for nearly two decades.

The celebration was graced by distinguished guests, including H.E. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, Ambassador of France to Thailand, and Mr. Jeremy Laurent, Joint-Venture Director of Le Cordon Bleu Dusit, who delivered inspiring opening remarks to mark the significance of this milestone.


Adding to the honor of the evening, Khun Siradej Donavanik, Vice President Development of Dusit International and Director of Dusit Hospitality Education Committee, joined the ceremony to recognize not only Le Cordon Bleu’s 130 years of heritage but also the 18 years of successful collaboration between Le Cordon Bleu and Dusit International.

Since its establishment in 2007, Le Cordon Bleu Dusit - Culinary Arts School has become a flagship example of international educational cooperation, blending Le Cordon Bleu’s world-renowned culinary expertise with Dusit International’s deep-rooted Thai hospitality values. Over the years, this partnership has produced thousands of graduates from Thailand and around the world, many of whom have gone on to become successful chefs, entrepreneurs, and culinary innovators.


Next-gen inspiration: The Taste of Le Cordon Bleu
Alongside the 130th Anniversary, Le Cordon Bleu Dusit unveiled an exciting new YouTube series – The Taste of Le Cordon Bleu – a four-episode original production spotlighting student talent through high-level culinary challenges and compelling storytelling for food lovers around the world. Blending cinematic production with authentic creativity, the show reflects Le Cordon Bleu Dusit’s commitment to innovation in culinary education, celebrating the discipline, flair, and passion that define the next generation of culinary leaders.


Alumni Awards: A taste of brilliance
In honour of the 130th anniversary, Le Cordon Bleu Dusit presented prestigious awards to alumni who are redefining the boundaries of modern gastronomy in Thailand and beyond.

Among the honourees was Chef Pam (Pichaya Soontornyanakij) – Asia’s Best Female Chef 2024 and The World’s Best Female Chef 2025 – who received the Culinary Innovation Award for her bold reinterpretation of Thai cuisine and her global impact through POTONG, her flagship restaurant. Voted #1 in Bangkok by TOP25 Restaurants and awarded a Michelin Star, POTONG stands as a testament to her creative vision and culinary leadership.

The Entrepreneurship Award went to Chef James (Pachara Thakerngkiat) – a winner of Iron Chef Thailand and the visionary behind James Boulangerie – recognised for pioneering Thailand’s artisanal pastry movement and turning croissants into a national obsession.

Chef John Chantarasak received the Cultural Promotion Award for his London-based restaurant AngloThai, which earned its first Michelin Star this year for its inventive fusion of Thai flavours with seasonal British ingredients.

And more culinary stars were honoured across categories celebrating emerging talent and community impact. As the lights dimmed on the evening’s celebration, one thing was clear: Le Cordon Bleu Dusit is not only honouring a storied legacy, but actively shaping the future of the culinary world – one dish, one graduate, and one bold idea at a time.
