The Loire valley is the heart of France, famous for its magnificent Châteaux and great wines of many styles:  Muscadet, Vouvray, Côteaux du Layon, Pouilly fumé or Sancerre…. The popularity of Loire Valley wines with sommeliers and wine writers has been growing steadily for the last ten years, but the wines were already well-known of kings and queens of Europe in the Middle Ages. 

The Rhône valley is the second largest French wine region after Bordeaux. It is home of the famous Tavel rosé, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Hermitage, Condrieu, or Côte Rôtie.  The tasting will illustrate the differences between wines of Northern and Southern Rhône and the relative impact of soils, topography, climate and grape varieties into the wine styles.

This wine discovery journey will take the form of two consecutive sessions with a brief story of the region followed by a tasting of eight wines from iconic appellations:
