Introduction

As part of the launch of its new programmes Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends Diploma (April intake 2021), Le Cordon Bleu Paris is offering several scholarships.

The prize will be to study for the Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends Diploma at the Le Cordon Bleu Paris institute.

The Le Cordon Bleu Paris Scholarship cannot be exchanged for cash or equivalent value and cannot be transferred by the competition winner.

The Le Cordon Bleu Paris Scholarship can only be taken up at the Le Cordon Bleu school in Paris.

Only one application will be accepted per person.

Calendar date

The application deadline is scheduled on Friday 19th February 2021
The due announcement of the winners is scheduled on Friday 26th February 2021
The due payment deadline is scheduled on Tuesday 2nd March 2021

Eligibility

You cannot enter the competition if you are an employee, relative or associate of an employee or agent of Le Cordon Bleu Paris or any parent, subsidiary or associated company.

For the Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends Diploma you must be at least 18 years of age at 23.59pm GMT on 19th February 2021 (the application Closing Date).

No application can be made on behalf of anyone other than the individual who is entering the competition and it cannot be transferred.

If you are not the account holder of the telephone or email account, whose number you give in your application you must obtain the consent of the person who is.

Previous studies or experience is required for the Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends Diploma.


The competition

To apply you must use your passion, knowledge and creativity to create your own recipe including the requested ingredients:

  • Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends Diploma: Prawns or giant prawns

Two scholarships of €1,000 and €2,000 to be won.

    Your application must be send the application form, your CV, cover letter, a picture of your recipe and the flywire paiment by email at paris@cordonbleu.edu.

    If the programme is cancelled by Le Cordon Bleu, for any reason, excluding unforeseen or fortuitous circumstances which are duly determined, all application and tuition fees paid by the student will be completely reimbursed, or transferred, with the student’s permission, to another programme of their choice.

    If following unforeseen or fortuitous circumstances which are duly determined, Le Cordon Bleu is unable to teach the chosen training programme, a reimbursement will be granted to the student on a pro-rata basis determined by the numbers of lessons that have not been taught.

    The candidate and/or student pledges to notify Le Cordon Bleu of any modification to their dossier. Any false information concerning any part, or all, of the information provided by them, may lead to their application being turned down or their enrolment being cancelled without reimbursement of any fees paid. Only the candidate, and no other individual, has the right to sign this application form.

    All completed applications must be received by email (paris@cordonbleu.edu) before 23.59 GMT on 19th February 2021 (the Closing Date).

    Entries which do not comply with the Competition terms and conditions or which provide untruthful, inaccurate or misleading information or are submitted after the Closing Date will not be considered.

     

    General contractual matters
    By registering and sending your application, you agree to these terms and conditions which may be varied from time to time.

    You will not without Le Cordon Bleu Paris prior written consent disclose, publish or discuss with any third party any information relating to the Le Cordon Bleu Paris scholarship or any other information which may come to your attention in relation to Le Cordon Bleu Paris save where such information is already in the public domain.

    You give your authorisation to be photographed and/or filmed during the classes and/or activities taking place on the premises of "Le Cordon Bleu Paris" or any other venue where the Scholarship Competition may use.

    You acknowledge and agree that your name and pictures may be used for Le Cordon Bleu marketing purposes in any and all forms of communication known today or in the future. You must also agree to the publication of your name, age, the town or city which you live, responses of the questions given in the application form.

    These may be published on the Le Cordon Bleu websites, affiliate websites, online communications (such as emailings and newsletters) and social media channels. Your application, your CV and any supporting documents must not contain anything which is obscene libellous or otherwise unlawful or which infringes the rights of others or which shows you have put yourself or others in danger or the risk of injury.

    You, by registering and uploading your CV and any supporting documents, agree to Le Cordon Bleu Paris having a non-exclusive licence unlimited as to media, time or place to use and where required to copy your recipe for the purposes of this Competition and for publicity.

    An acknowledgement of receipt of your application will be supplied by Le Cordon Bleu Paris but no responsibility will be accepted for any applications not actually received by Le Cordon Bleu Paris before the Closing Date regardless of the reason for non-receipt.

    Personal information may be retained to check that no multiple applications are made.

    Le Cordon Bleu Paris Judging Panel will be drawn from the academic staff of the Le Cordon Bleu school who will consider the extent to which the knowledge, passion, skills and aspirations of the applicant are appropriate to the courses offered by Le Cordon Bleu Paris. We reserve the right to use third parties in the judging panel, should they offer the required standard to impart a fair and educated consideration as determined by Le Cordon Bleu staff.

    The Judging Panel’s decisions at each stage of the competition are final. No correspondence regarding such decisions will be entered into.

    Le Cordon Bleu has partnered with Flywire to streamline the tuition payment process for our international students.

    Flywire allows you to pay from any country and any bank. They also offer excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save a significant amount of money, compared to traditional banks. You will be able to track the progress of your payment throughout the transfer process via a student dashboard and you will also be notified via email when your payment is received by Le Cordon Bleu.

    The winner of the Competition will be notified by email, post or telephone on 26th February for the Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends Diploma.

    Le Cordon Bleu Paris reserves the right in its absolute discretion to modify the enrolment procedure, fees, organisation and/or structure of any or all of its courses. The programmes, learning materials and original recipes used in conjunction with the Competition are the intellectual property of Le Cordon Bleu International BV. All reproduction or transmission, integral or partial, of the content of the course, learning materials and/or recipes used in the course of the Competition, in any form or by any means (photocopying, scanning, re-typing and/or other) is formally prohibited without the written and prior authorisation of Le Cordon Bleu Paris..

    If for any reason beyond the control of Le Cordon Bleu Paris, the Scholarship cannot be taken up by the winner, Le Cordon Bleu Paris are not obliged to offer the winner any compensation.

    All applicants by applying to register acknowledge that Le Cordon Bleu Paris shall not be liable for any accident, loss or damage occurring to any applicant or third party which occurs when the applicant is not under the direct physical supervision of Le Cordon Bleu Paris’s staff or contractors during the Competition process.

    Le Cordon Bleu Paris shall be under no liability whatsoever to any applicant for any loss or damage, except personal injury or death caused by the negligent act or omission of Le Cordon Bleu Paris, its employees or officers in the course of their employment.

    Le Cordon Bleu Paris reserves the right to cancel or postpone any part or the whole of the Competition at any time in the event of anything occurring beyond the control of Le Cordon Bleu Paris which would make completion of the competition impossible or unlawful.

    If any applicant is discovered to have given Le Cordon Bleu Paris or its staff inaccurate information at any stage of the competition he/she will be disqualified.

    It is necessary to enroll in order to benefit from the bursary. It is asked that the future students pay all the administrative fees (€500) when enrolling.

    The administrative fees aren’t refundable
