Head Sommelier Instructor
Clément Gautier was born in Limoges, France. After completing a two-year Technical Degree (BTS) in International Business he started working at a French restaurant in London. Within a few months he learnt the basics of the profession of sommelier and bartender and realized that he had found his calling. Once back in France, he obtained a professional degree in Wine Business. He then left for Australia where he completed a master’s programme in Wine Business at the University of Adelaide.
After spending a year working at a restaurant in Melbourne, Clément Gautier returned to Paris and got his first job as a Chef Sommelier and Manager at a wine bar. He then held various positions in prestigious 5-star hotels such as Hyatt Paris Madeleine, Prince de Galles and l’Auberge du Jeu de Paume in Chantilly, where he worked as a Chef Sommelier.
He then left the hospitality sector to join the education and training sector and started working as an English teacher at an authorized training organization and as a sommelier and tour guide for a travel agency specialized in wine tourism.
In 2019, he joined Le Cordon Bleu Paris as a consultant and in 2020 he joined the institute as a Chef Sommelier Instructor.
