Caviar Seminar - Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa

 Caviar Night a Big Success
at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa

We're always looking for new and interesting ways to educate and enlighten students here at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa. Recently we invited the King of Caviar, Cornel Ceapa from Acadian Sturgeon in New Brunswick, to wow students and faculty alike with an amazing presentation on caviar.

It was a full house in our Salle Cointreau room as the King dazzled participants with knowledge and firsthand demonstrations about sturgeon and their eggs, commonly known as caviar. What about tastings? But, of course! Three different varieties of caviar were on hand for all to taste and enjoy. Students are expanding their knowledge base of classical French cuisine and having a great time in the process!

 Superior Students Sit Down with
Leaders in the Industry

In another first, students from the Superior Cuisine and Superior Pastry classes at Le Cordon Bleu this month had the opportunity to meet with employers from the culinary field across Canada at our inaugural Career Day. On hand to recruit students and answer questions were representatives from the Westin Whistler (covering Marriott brands); Fairmont Chateau Laurier (and sister properties); Hilton Lac Leamy (representing the Hilton family of hotels & resorts); and the Shaw Centre.

Students were able to chat with reps in small groups, getting individual attention and customized recommendations for their career paths. Later on in the evening, classmates from Basic & Intermediate levels of cuisine and pastry joined the fun at a reception hosted by Signatures Restaurant (another hiring partner of Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa).

All part of the experience at Le Cordon Bleu, the world's premiere institute for culinary arts. Find out more about Le Cordon Bleu in Canada's capital, Ottawa!
