Meet Ottawa Diplôme de Pâtisserie student, Elina Olefirenko

Originally from the Ukraine, Elina first moved to Canada to study Business Management, Hospitality in Vancouver before pursuing her passion for pastry at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa. We chatted with Elina to figure out how she went from a Business Management in Hospitality degree to studying the Diplôme de Pâtisserie full time and working at Italian Artisan gelato cafe, Mantovani 1946.

Masterclass in Pâtisserie

Pastry instructor, Chef Nicolas Jordan, MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) demonstrated a holiday masterclass last week to over 70 guests at our Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa campus. During the demonstration, he covered a whole range of sugar and chocolate techniques, with no steps simplified as he carefully created a Sphere de Noël and Sapin de Noël for the holiday season.

Le Cordon Bleu Brazil in 2017

Le Cordon Bleu to open in Brazil in 2017

Le Cordon Bleu partners with the University of Fortaleza and Anima Educação to launch new undergraduate and postgraduate programs in gastronomy, hospitality, wine and management. Le Cordon Bleu will also inaugurate its flagship school in Rio de Janeiro in 2017, in partnership with the local government. Both parties are working hand in hand to make this opening happen shortly.
