Fresh from his win at the Asia Pastry Cup 2012 Team Pastry Australia captain and Le Cordon Bleu Sydney head culinary teacher Andre Sanderson shared the secrets of using silicone moulds with baking industry publication, Australian Baking Business.

Restaurant and Catering SA Finalists for 2012
Le Cordon Bleu Student Nominees

The finalist for the prestigious Restaurant and Catering SA (RCSA) Awards for Excellence 2011 were announced earlier this month. Amongst the categories such as Contemporary Australian, European, Indian, New, Apprentice Chef and Chef, was Best Employee. Of the four people nominated in the Best Employee category, two were Le Cordon Bleu students.

2013 Scholarship Application
Opening Soon

Le Cordon Bleu is pleased to announce a comprehensive range of Culinary, Bachelor and Masters Scholarships opening soon for 2013 commencement. Among the scholarships are opportunities for Australian and international applicants who can demonstrate a high level of success in their respective careers and/or academic studies. These scholarships aim to recognise and award talented individuals aspiring to be industry leaders.

Applications will open Monday 30th July 2012 and close on Monday 8th October 2012.

Yangarra Estate Vineyards Andre Ursini Four- Course Lunch
Sea & Vines Festival 2012

Held every June long weekend the Sea and Vines Festival in McLaren Vale is a celebration of the unique food and wine available from this famous South Australian region.

This year one of the many events included a four-course lunch created by Andre Ursini , of MasterChef fame and Owner/Chef of Andre's Cucina & Polenta Bar, assisted by Le Cordon Bleu students at Yangarra Estate Vineyards. Andre was very impressed with the Le Cordon Bleu students saying that they were incredible, approachable, and a joy to work with.

Congratulations to all students involved for presenting such a positive Le Cordon Bleu spirit and to Andre for a deliciously crafted menu.
