Mr. David Wain, Hilton Sydney

As part of their practical education Students undertake a professional experience employment program with Le Cordon Bleu partner companies across Australia. One of these partnerships is between Le Cordon Bleu and the Hilton.

Mr. David Wain (Director of Human Resources) from the Hilton Sydney was amoung the many industry luminaries and other Hilton delegates who attended the Le Cordon Bleu Graduation Gala Dinner this month. While he was visiting Adelaide Mr. Wain held a presentation for current students and conducted interviews for placement.

A Decade of Graduands

Close to 800 people including graduating students their families and friends, Le Cordon Bleu’s Academic Board, South Australian dignitaries and industry luminaries attended the largest ever Le Cordon Bleu Graduation Gala Dinner on Saturday 4th September at the Adelaide Convention and Exhibition Centre

The 10th Annual Le Cordon Bleu Graduation Gala Dinner was truly a spectacular night for graduands and guests alike. The room was beautifully laid out in the traditional Le Cordon Bleu colours of white and blue, with a three course dinner echoing the elegance of the occasion.

This celebration was to mark the completion of studies for Le Cordon Bleu students in Bachelor and Masters Degrees. The night also saw exceptional students receiving Meritorious and DUX Awards for their great achievements.

We would like to congratulate all Le Cordon Bleu Graduates for 2009/2010. Let us know about your future successes by joining our prestigious Alumni community.

Adelaide Course Commencement Ceremony
September 2010

New and continuing students, guests and Le Cordon Bleu Staff attended the Adelaide Course Commencement Ceremony on Friday 17th September. The ceremony is an opportunity to welcome students and formally recognise their achievements thus far.

Awards included The Award Diplôme Culinaire d’Hotelier, which was given to eligible Stage 3 students who had successfully completed Stage 1 & 2 of Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor of Business.

Students who have achieved merit in Stage 1 & Stage 3 of their studies received Meritorious Students Awards, while Industry Placement Awards of Excellence were given to individuals for outstanding contributions whilst undertaking their Industry Placement.

New Sydney Program
Bachelor of Business in International Restaurant Management

Le Cordon Bleu and Northern Sydney Institute are proud to announce the launch of a Bachelor of Business in Restaurant Management, in Sydney! This 3 year degree, combines practical skills, real world experience and strategic thinking within the hospitality and restaurant sector. Current students who have studied a Certificate III or an Advanced Diploma can also get credit and complete the degree is less time.

With an entrepreneurial focus, the program takes an in depth look at small business practices and management. The program covers key areas of food and wine, with subjects such as, Wine Fundamentals, Wine and Beverage Management and Marketing, The aesthetics of Food and Wine and Professional Gastronomic Practice.
