Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa's Signatures Restaurant partnered with Canada's Great Kitchen Party to host the Ottawa/Gatineau Regional Qualifier for the 2020 Canadian Culinary Championships

The Canadian Culinary Championships, which have been held in Kelowna, B.C. for the last nine years, will move to Ottawa in early 2020 for a run of at least three years. Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa partnered with Canada's Great Kitchen Party to host the Ottawa/Gatineau Regional Qualifier for the competition. Featuring 12 gold medal winning chefs from around Canada with three intense competitions over the course of two days, the event will take place January 31 and February 1 at the Shaw Centre in downtown Ottawa.

The Canadian Culinary Championships is the grand finale of Canada’s Great Kitchen Party events that are held annually in the fall. The events are a celebration of the pillars of Canadian culture – sport, music and food ; Canada’s Great Kitchen Party and the Canadian Culinary Championships support B2ten, MusiCounts and Community Food Centres Canada.

New Short Courses and Academic Programs at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa

Take a look at the new programs being launched at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa in 2020. Short Courses are now available online for the general public and two new academic programs are being launched for potential students.

The new Diploma in Culinary Management equips graduates who are interested in opening their own business at some point in the future with a plan to make their dreams a reality. The Honours Bachelor of Integrated Food Sciences, the first of its kind in Canada, is an innovative multidisciplinary programme being launched in September 2020, and delivered jointly by the University of Ottawa and Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa for people who want to lead change in any industry in which food plays a major role.
