An intensive five-day Professional Food Writing Workshop was hosted by acclaimed food and wine journalist David Sly and features editor Katie Spain, and a two-day Food Photography and Styling workshop facilitated by well-known editorial photographer Josie Withers.

Le Cordon Bleu was delighted to sponsor Le Cordon Bleu Paris alumnus and Malaysian celebrity chef Dato Fazley Yaakob for a series of masterclasses in May. Le Cordon Bleu students across Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney were entertained and educated by Chef Dato’s recipe presentations and enjoyed replicating his dishes in three interactive sessions.

In the first week of May, Le Cordon Bleu was delighted to welcome President and CEO, M. André J. Cointreau for his Australian visit. M. Cointreau attended Le Cordon Bleu campuses in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney to attend meetings, undertake site visits, greet students, and consult with staff and management.

Twenty-two teachers and career advisors from local high schools enjoyed an exclusive experiential journey through the senses at Le Cordon Bleu’s Gastronomic Life in a Day. Le Cordon Bleu experts shared their knowledge of the culinary arts, including specialist areas of gastronomy, wine and food entrepreneurship. Le Cordon Bleu academics, staff and lecturers shared insights about industry employment prospects, expanding industry sectors and future trends.

On 30 April 2017, six lucky Le Cordon Bleu students met iconic UK chef Marco Pierre White at his Italian Feast for Tasting Australia at FINO Seppeltsfield. The students assisted at the feast providing food and beverage service to 350 guests. The event was the perfect opportunity for Le Cordon Bleu students to learn from industry’s finest.

2017 National Final of the Bailliage’s Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs winner announced

Le Cordon Bleu is proud to be a major sponsor of the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition 2017. International gastronomic association, La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs announced Chris Malone of Clarke’s in Perth, WA as winner of the 2017 National Final of the Bailliage’s Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition and Australia’s finest young chef.

Le Cordon Bleu Alumnus: Yong Voon Cheng (David)

Malaysian Le Cordon Bleu graduate Yong Voon Cheng (David) was thrilled to receive his Dux award for the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management. In an animated acceptance speech David said “attending culinary school at prestigious Le Cordon Bleu was by far the best decision I have ever made”.
