Licensing agreement with Swissmar

June 2, 2015 – Le Cordon Bleu is pleased to announce a licensing agreement with Swissmar, who will produce a line of ceramic oven-to-table products under the name, Le Cordon Bleu. These licensed products, which are made in France, will be available in retail stores throughout North America and the Caribbean, with additional global opportunities.

For over 100 years, Le Cordon Bleu has been a worldwide leader in gastronomy and is widely considered the guardian of French culinary technique and the world’s premier culinary arts institute.

CEO and President, André J. Cointreau has expanded the school’s breadth and influence. States Monsieur Cointreau, “Our licensing partnership with Swissmar continues to strengthen our position as the finest name in culinary education worldwide. Le Cordon Bleu is dedicated to the mission of preserving and passing on the mastery and appreciation of the culinary arts throughout the world. Our goal of promoting this culinary appreciation is achieved through combining the excellent reputation of Swissmar together with the culinary expertise of Le Cordon Bleu.”

Swissmar, a premier housewares supplier for 30 years is excited to bring this assortment of products to the market.  “The response from our retail partners at the January CGTA and March IHA housewares shows was phenomenal, customers have been waiting for a line of products like this” said Daniel Oehy President of Swissmar.  “The timing is perfect for a Made in France, quality product, developed under the guidance of Le Cordon Bleu trained chefs,” he continued.

The Swissmar and Le Cordon Bleu collection is available in stores and will range from $30 to $100 at retail.  It will include the Charmant and Tendance lines in four traditional colors:  Cordon Blue, Blanc, Rouge and Jaune.
