Grand Diplôme alumna awarded the Annual Awards of Excellence in Pastry

On Thursday 4th June 2015, The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts hosted the award ceremony for the prestigious Annual Awards of Excellence.

The Annual Awards of Excellence is open to young Chefs, Pastry Chefs and Waiters aged between 20 and 26 who are working full time in the UK. Today it has become the most celebrated award available to young professionals in the hospitality industry today, recognising and encouraging the most talented ambitious Chefs, Pastry Chefs and Waiters.

Since it began in 1983 over 480 young professionals have achieved the award, setting them off on highly successful career paths.

Following the finals which were held at Le Gavroche, The Gleneagles Hotel and University of West London, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts was proud to announce the eight winners of the Annual Awards of Excellence 2015 in the pastry category including Grand Diplôme alumna: Rebecca Gawn, who now works at Bachmann’s Pâtisserie.


We congratulate Rebecca on this fantastic achievement, and hope they inspire an enthusiastic new generation of Pastry chefs.
