Le Cordon Bleu Dusit were delighted to organize a special demonstration “Gallette des Rois” performed by Chef Willy Daurade, our Assistant to Technical Directoron 26 January 2017 in welcoming of “Dr. Lowell Skar and 60 students of BALAC Programme, Faculty of Art, Chulalongkorn University” to enjoy French history throughout a food & culture presentation.
According to French history, if a person discovers the fève, a tiny charm inside the Galette des Rois (King’s Cake), they will be a “king for a day” and get to wear the golden paper “crown” that comes along with their yummy cake. It is a tradition that is celebrated all over France during the Epiphany in January.
At the end of the demonstration, the professors and students were invited to taste the freshly made “Gallette des Rois”, a very French traditional cake, which gave them insight into the wonderful world of French pastry and Le Cordon Bleu Dusit’s unique teaching methodology.
