Le Cordon Bleu is excited to announce a celebrity new recruit – Julia Taylor, runner-up in the 2012 Masterchef Australia TV program. Julia has always been passionate about food, even though she was only ever able to make it a side business to her everyday job as a legal secretary. So when she auditioned for MasterChef Australia Season 4, little did she realise that her tenacity and perfectionism would take her right through the finale. Though she did not win, Julia has been remembered by the Australian public as a highly talented amateur chef.
Thankfully that is not where Julia’s cooking story ends, as following Masterchef, Le Cordon Bleu decided to offer her the chance to study with Le Cordon Bleu in Sydney. For Julia, whose passion lies in cakes and sweet delicacies, the chance to study with Le Cordon Bleu, a world leader in Patisserie education was an amazing opportunity. There was no second-guessing this decision for Julia - after filming a MasterChef challenge in the college's kitchens, she leapt at the chance to further her education here as a Superior Patisserie student.
And so, at the start of this year, Julia began her continuing cooking education with Le Cordon Bleu. Combining her education with an apprentice pastry chef position with famed dessert chef Adriano Zumbo, Julia is certainly keeping herself well and truly busy, however she is thriving in an environment where she can live out her passion for food and cooking.
