Japanese Cuisine Demonstration
Le Cordon Bleu London welcomed Michelin-starred Chef Ishida Shinji to our school on Thursday 5th November 2014, for a demonstration of Japanese cuisine.

Shortly after graduating from Heisei Chorishi in Tokushima, Chef Shinji started to work for the renowned Japanese restaurant: AOYAGI (Tokushima and Tokyo). He then had the opportunity to move to Kojyû, a three Michelin-starred restaurant headed by Chef OKUDA Toru. Following his passion for Japanese cuisine,  Chef Shinji arrived in Paris in August  2013 to open OKUDA – a traditional Japanese restaurant in the 8th arrondissement that received its first Michelin star in less than a year.

Chef Shinji delighted the audience with his demonstration of Miso Soup, Tempura and Teryiyaki. Students admired the chef’s techniques as well as his precision in carrying out each of the methods.


Guest chef demonstrations are held each term to allow our students to experience and learn a variety of culinary styles from the industry’s best chefs.
