              WSET Level 1 Award in Wine
              1 DAY / WITH EXAM

              A basic introduction to wine styles, food and wine pairing, and storing and serving wine. Students will experience a tutored tasting of nine wines and a workshop on food and wine pairing. No knowledge is required and the course is best suited to novice wine enthusiasts and those looking to start their career in the wine or hospitality industries.

              WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits
              2.5 DAYS / WITH EXAM

              In this course we cover the major grape varieties, wine regions of the world, food and wine pairing, sparkling and fortified wines, and the major spirits. Students will taste wines and spirits from around the world. Designed for both enthusiasts and those entering or working in the wine or hospitality industries, wanting more than just a basic level of knowledge.

              WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits
              4 DAYS / WITH EXAMS

              Open to students who have successfully completed the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spiritsor are able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge through prior training or trade experience. This course is designed to provide more in-depth knowledge, focussing on the factors that influence the style, quality and price of wines and spirits from different key regions. Students will taste wines and spirits from around the world and develop their analytical tasting skills to a high level of competency using the WSETsystematic approach to tasting.

              WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits

              The Wine & Spirit Education Trust’s flagship qualification, the Diploma is regarded as a stepping-stone to the ultimate qualification – the Master of Wine. The WSET Level 4 Diploma is only available in New Zealand through Le Cordon Bleu and the NZSWS. Recognised around the world, this intensive programme covers in depth the world of wines and spirits from all angles – business, theoretical and practical. Challenging but rewarding, through the course you’ll develop a high level of knowledge and expertise in tasting. Your tutors are highly qualified, dedicated and experienced professionals with a sound understanding of contemporary trends and issues. To be eligible to enrol you must have completed the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits.
