Le Cordon Bleu wins Silver and Bronze medals at the The Ontario Technological Skills Competition 2013
Congratulations to Superior Pastry students, Jocelyn Bégin (Bronze medal winner), Daneet Druckman, and Lisa Anne Falocco (Silver Medal winner), together with their coach Chef Hervé Chabert, for their spectacular pastry presentations at this competition.
The competitors were asked to produce the following:
· Mousse cake
· Sponge cake
· Miniature French pastries
· Chocolate candies
· Chocolate box
The contest provides competitors with the opportunity to demonstrate, through practical and theoretical application, their skills and task knowledge in the industry relevant to baking skills and employment and to recognize outstanding students for excellence and professionalism, in commercial baking.
This competition in its 24th year, is host to 1,900 competitors with 30,000+ spectators and 60+ skilled trade contests, which is located in Kitchener Ontario.
These three students were selected to represent Le Cordon Bleu by a panel of Chef instructors after a internal campus competition.
The students worked tirelessly over 3 months of training with the mentorship and direction of Chef Chabert. We are all very proud of their accomplishments and look forward to following their promising careers.
