Sun-Min Kwon, ‘Haneulso’ French wine & dining restaurant

Cuisine Diploma 2011

Sun-Min Kwon graduated from the Cuisine Diploma program in 2011. After graduating from the department of hotel cooking at an university, he worked at many big restaurants as well as restaurants in Japan. He began the new chapter of his life at Le Cordon Bleu-Sookmyung Academy as he wanted to learn French cuisine, the basis of western culinary. The systematic Le Cordon Bleu Cuisine Diploma program and chefs’ know-how in traditional French cuisine provided substantial aid in checking and improving his abilities. Furthermore he learned the passion and attitude required in real industry through his chefs and classmates.

During the cuisine program, he got a position at ‘Haneulso’ a French wine & dining restaurant managed by one of our alumni. With the kind consideration of the owner, he was able to manage his schedule so that he could successfully complete the cuisine course and still work at the restaurant. He wants to say to future students that they should not only be contented with their present knowledge from Le Cordon Bleu. Steady self-improvement is the core of success. His ultimate aim is to open a restaurant with his name. Today, thinking of the many people who became happy after eating his cooking, he is one step closer to his dream.
