Web Marketing Officer

The incumbent will work closely with the Le Cordon Bleu Australia schools currently located in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth supporting the Web Marketing Manager in effective and professionally implementing external digital marketing public relations strategies that creates and drives brand awareness and business initiatives.

Reporting and Working Relationships

The Web Marketing Officer works within the Public Relations and Communications team and reports directly to the Web Marketing Manager (WMM).  However the overall control of the department lies within the Director, Sales and Marketing.

Special Conditions

Overtime may be required from time to time.

May be required to travel on short notice.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist WMM in launching and leading innovative external digital marketing public relations strategies that create and drive the brands awareness and business initiatives;
  • Support LCB Australia strategic communications planning & execution related to LCBA brand and business initiatives;
  • Assist WMM with coordination of media strategy and assisting with its implementation;
  • Handle social media & web enquiries, manage relationships, clarify company positions and build goodwill;
  • Promote recruitment, marketing and student/alumni events for LCB Hub;
  • Support WMM with updating web content internally and externally;
  • Assist with design, construct and test web materials including website, email; manage social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google Plus, LinkedIn etc;
  • Work closely with PR, Graphic Department to produce high quality web materials.

    Search Engine Marketing – under the direction of WMM

  • Google accounts, including Google+, Google Business;
  • External SEM agency in charge of advertising on Google AdWords, Social Media
  • Publish SEO Rich Mark-up for various online media for articles and events, such as photos, videos and recipes;
  • External SEO agency to generate organic traffic for the website by applying recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords;
  • Research and implement search engine optimisation mark-up;
  • Research and analyse competitor advertising links;
  • Develop and implement link building strategy;
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code;
  • Assist the WMM with managing LCBA social media accounts;
  • Assist WMM with e-newsletter and e-blasts.

    Content Marketing – under the direction of WMM

  • Maintain awareness of campaign roadmap and key messages and incorporate them into PR plans;
  • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content;
  • Edit and improve writers' posts to optimise content according to SEO;
  • Liaise with web copywriter to ensure brand consistency;
  • Contribute to editorial/social media calendar.

    Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills

  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Working knowledge of HTML& CSS
  • Search engine optimisation experience
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of content management system
  • Advanced knowledge in social media network management
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Face to face and email communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines


  • 1-2 years of working experience in digital marketing
  • With at least 1 year of  PPC, SEO, HTML and CMS
