In conjunction with Fine Food and Hotel Australia

Held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9th-12th September, in conjunction with Fine Food and Hotel Australia, the Australian Culinary Challenge NSW 2013 produced some outstanding results for Le Cordon Bleu Sydney campus. With many students and alumni competing in the various categories the atmosphere over the four day program was electric. Students and alumni from all courses participated including Cuisine, Patisserie, Advanced Diploma and Degree highlighting the depth of talent and skill that Le Cordon Bleu continues to produce.

Le Cordon Bleu was excellently represented by all participants and congratulates all for the time and effort put in to both results that won achievements and those that missed out.

Graduating in style
Adelaide Graduation & Gala Dinner 2013

With 450 guests attending including 120 Le Cordon Bleu students, Adelaide graduated in style at the Convention Centre North Terrace on Saturday 31st August. The night was a celebration of success and achievement with several awards distributed covering a range of programs from Bachelor of Business International Hotel Management through to Dux and Meritorious awards.

Congratulations Cobi
Sydney Alumni of Le Cordon Bleu Grand Diplôme

Alumni Cobi Riethmuller representing South Queensland at the finals of the Nestle Golden Chef’s Hat achieved great success winning two slivers and a bronze. One of the oldest running Chefs competitions in Australia it gives junior Chef’s and apprentices the opportunity to pit their skills against their peers in challenging cook-offs. Cobi was partnered by Matthew Clark and worked diligently to represent her state and Le Cordon Bleu. On the day the Tasmanian team of Libby Green and Daniel Garwood finished on top winning the ultimate prize of a trip to London to carry out work experience alongside legendary chef Alain Roux at world-renowned, three Michelin-starred restaurant, The Waterside Inn.

Adelaide Chef and Education Manager Nigel Blake

Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide’s resident Chef and Education Manager Nigel Blake was recently interviewed whilst conducting a fresh cooking demonstration at the Fresh FM stand at The Royal Adelaide Show. Highlighting new ingredients as we enter spring in Australia, Nigel created a delicious crispy skin salmon nicoise salad, a traditional French dish with an Australian twist.

Le Cordon Bleu Sydney

Students and the general public were treated to a special degustation chocolate menu prepared by Chef Angelo Roche recently at Sydney’s Ryde campus. This was part of the end of term program Chef Angelo and Chef Karen run for students and the public to be given the opportunity to sample French culinary and pâtisserie techniques at Le Cordon Bleu Sydney.
