Hollywood star learns French culinary skills
Le Cordon Bleu Paris

Blake Lively, dynamic actress, and one of the young emerging Hollywood stars, is also passionate about gastronomy: recently a tailor-made workshop was held for her and her guests at Le Cordon Bleu Paris. Chef Franck Poupard demonstrated French culinary techniques by preparing the following dishes:

Guinea fowl baked in a sealed casserole, sautéed winter root vegetables
Soft centred chocolate fondant, orange compote

Blake was delighted with her course, she tells us about her experience: "My dream as a passionate cook has been to go to Le Cordon Bleu. Never could my most incredible dream have lived up to the experience. The food, the lesson, the chef, the ingredients --all the best of the best. I see why Le Cordon Bleu is world renowned. Now I only dream to have more time to go back to Le Cordon Bleu and spend months learning from the gods of food!!"

Charity Dinner

On Friday 19th November, a Fundraising Dinner was held in the Ambassador Room for KOTO - A Vietnamese Charity that trains street kids in hospitality.

KOTO as a registered charity runs an internationally regarded vocational training program, where students learn the hospitality skills that will become the silver bullet to end the cycle of poverty.

The evening featured fine Le Cordon Bleu food provided by the students and teachers, fine wine and music and inspirational company, including KOTO founder Jimmy Pham and well known pianist Ambre Hammond.

In total $9,000 on the night was raised which means 4 street children can be trained over 2 years.
