|A Top Student from Le Cordon Bleu Sydney|
Son started his Industry Placement in Hyatt Coolum on the Sunshine coast, famous for its Australian Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Championship golf course.
During his first week, Son was placed in the hot and cold section of the lunch and dinner banquets. Son enjoyed the busy and physically challenging environment and the learning opportunities he was presented with.
In Banquets, he learnt first hand how to prepare a large amount of food for several hundreds of customers in a commercial kitchen.
Soon after starting Son was transferred to Eliza's, an awarded fine dining restaurant which is regarded as one of the best restaurants on the Sunshine coast.
Son worked with other chefs with considerably more experience than his nine months of intensive training at Le Cordon Bleu Sydney Culinary Arts Institute. To make up for his lack of experience Son maintained a positive attitude and a get-the-job-done mentality, taught by the Le Cordon Bleu Chef lectures, earning him the nickname "Top Gun".
Son is now working at the Hilton Sydney and recently volunteered to participate in Governor's dinner preparation with Tony Bilson.
With his positive attitude and great smile, Le Cordon Bleu wishes Son the best of luck for his bright future.
