Summer Pudding with Moscato d'Asti or Brachetto d'Acqui


  Summer Pudding by Le Cordon BleuQuintessentially British, this is a feast of berries, brioche and cream. 

This dessert can be quite challenging as there is a bright tanginess coming from the berries and some richness from the brioche. A fitting match would be a gently sparkling, low alcohol and floral wine from Piedmont in Italy: Moscato  d’Asti (white) or Brachetto d’Acqui (red). 

 The fizz will help to cut through the doughy texture and the vibrant white or red fruit flavours will accommodate the tang.
