Istanbul, March 6 2013

The official opening of Le Cordon Bleu Istanbul took place on March 6th following the signed agreement between Özyegin University and Le Cordon Bleu on July 2012.

Mr. Hüsnü M. Özyegin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Özyegin University conducted the official ceremony accompanied by Professor Dr. Erhan Erkut, rector of the university, Mr. Hervé Magro, Consul of France in Istanbul, and Mr. André Cointreau, President and CEO of Le Cordon Bleu International.

This new partnership has been developed in response to the strong demand for quality culinary arts training and restaurant management education in a country boasting economic opportunities. Furthermore, an increasing number of students from neighboring countries are coming to Turkey for Higher Education.

Le Cordon Bleu is already operating with the University Lifelong Learning Center in its new state-of-the-art culinary facility. Le Cordon Bleu is delivering culinary programs in cuisine and pâtisserie so students can obtain certifications of the most complete and intensive instruction available today. Le Cordon Bleu Diplomas, including Le Grand Diplôme give the qualifications needed to open the doors to a successful career.

Established in 2007, as one of Turkey’s newest universities, Özyegin University (OzU) is a non-profit, state-recognized higher education institution located in Istanbul, Turkey. The University is focused on becoming an entrepreneurial research university with a strong emphasis on quality teaching with a multinational faculty. All academic programs are taught in English.
