Le Cordon Bleu : a partner of Le Grand Tasting
Le Cordon Bleu Wine and Management program students took part in both the organization and the service during wine tastings and conferences at Le Grand Tasting under the guidance of wine experts. The event was held at the Carrousel du Louvre on the 6th and 7th December.
Organized by J.M. Bettane & T. Desseauve, Le Grand Tasting is one of the most important events on the wine calendar, bringing together wine-growers, cellar masters, winemakers and wine journalists and experts to discover legendary wines and wines produced by talented young wine-growers. During the event, the tastings took place either in a Master Class, Master Class Prestige, Ateliers Gourmet Privilège or Ecole des Terroirs, providing the perfect opportunity to discover the best wines of one or a number of producers. Amongst the renowned names who participated were: Cavallotto, Château Angelus, Krug, Taittinger, Zind Humbrecht and many other prestigious French and foreign estates.
In 2009, Le Cordon Bleu created a department dedicated to wine and launched a Wine and Management program. The program teaches the necessary savoir-faire and soft skills to open the doors to numerous opportunities in the world of wine and gastronomy: Sommelier, buyer, specialized journalist or importer.
The Wine and Management program welcomes students from the world over. The current class includes students of 12 different nationalities.
