Le Cordon Bleu students participated in the Délifrance Sandwich World Cup
The Sandwich World Cup organized by Délifrance took place on February 4 at at the Ecole de Boulangerie et de Pâtisserie (EBP)

Two Le Cordon Bleu students participated in the competition: Yusuke Murata from Le Cordon Bleu Tokyo, and Brandon Colina from Le Cordon Bleu Paris.
The sandwich had to meet certain "gastronomic" criteria including flavor association, speed of preparation, and ease of assembly and consumption, as well as “nutritional” and "cost price".
Brandon Colina prepared a sandwich, named "Le K'Araibe" and based on braised chicken, guacamole, mango, cheese, apple, salad, tomato and rucola. He chose this sandwich to demonstrate the diversity of Caribbean flavors and to show his creativity.
Yusuke Murata has been inspired by the Normandy region to prepare his sandwich, named “Le souffle du vent de Normandie ». He used French salad ingredients such as beet, endive and Brussels sprouts combined with chicken and cider, a famous Norman apple alcohol. He also added ginger to bring an Asian influence to his creation. Yusuke decorated his sandwich with cheese and displayed many vegetables to remind the spirit of a typical Norman-style garden.
Congratulations to our students!
