              Diploma in Culinary Management students visited Cheese Cellar , a key supplier of some of the country’s most noted names in the food industry.

              After introducing the role and importance of a supplier, Tom Badcock (representative of the company) talked to the students about how to run a business from the prespective of a supplier.

              The conversation highlighted the main challenges of running the business in terms of operations as well as giving the students an understanding of the principles of good business relationship with suppliers as well as good practices. Students had the opportunity to see how the business operates “behind the scenes” – an insightful visit as they may have to work with similar companies in the future.

              Cheese Cellar has been supplying quality cheeses and speciality ingredients to the food industry including hotels, restaurants, travel industry, food manufacturers, sandwich producers, contract and event caterers, wholesalers and exporters.
