Le Cordon Bleu Paris organized a welcome cocktail for the inauguration of the 15th arrondissement’s Christmas market
On December 13 2014, the 15th arrondissement’s Town Hall got well and truly into the festive spirit at the inauguration of its Christmas market which this year, like every other, has quality at the fore.
The opening ceremony took place on the Town Hall esplanade at 11.30 a.m. in the presence of Deputy Mayor Philippe Goujon and his administrative team.
Music marked the beginning of the festivities with a children’s choir singing Christmas songs. Le Cordon Bleu Paris Chef Instructor, Xavier Cotte, then invited the residents of the 15th arrondissement to taste a selection of sweet petits fours.
Chef Cotte was assisted by Le Cordon Bleu Paris Pastry Diploma students in the preparation of numerous gourmet delights such as macaroons, financiers and other seasonal delicacies.
This event demonstrates how Le Cordon Bleu Paris school is involved in the everyday life of Paris’s 15th arrondissement. More than 1500 people were present at the School’s inauguration ceremony in 1988, including 25 foreign ambassadors and Mr. Edouard Balladur, former Deputy Mayor of the 15th arrondissement.
