Anna Bascomb began the Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor of International Hotel Management in 2010 and is currently on her second placement for her degree at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas, Queensland. In the few months that she has been working there Anna has already received glowing feedback on her outstanding customer service. The first comment was from the Trip Advisor website commending Anna on her enthusiasm and pride in delivering excellent service.
The Sheraton Mirage’s General Manager, Lachlan Walker, personally congratulated her on her dedication to her Industry Placement. After receiving, in writing, great customer feedback on Anna, Mr Walker said that he was "very proud" of her and the commitment she was displaying to her role with the resort. This is wonderful news for Anna who is a credit to herself, the hotel and Le Cordon Bleu.
In most of the Le Cordon Bleu programs offered in Adelaide and Sydney students undertake work placement as part of their qualifications. This important component further develops knowledge of the hospitality industry and ensures all Le Cordon Bleu students graduate with professional experience. Students undertake placements in world class hotels, resorts, kitchens, restaurants and convention centres. While on placement Le Cordon Bleu students are constantly commended for their professionalism which is recognised through awards, promotions and positive feedback.
