Stage 1

Admission Requirements

To apply for our full time Diploma or Certificate course, you must submit a complete application, which includes:

• A completed and signed application form
• A résumé (curriculum vitae) stating background, education and special interests: previous culinary experience is not essential
• A letter of motivation detailing your culinary goals, career objectives and reasons for choosing Le Cordon Bleu
• 1 passport photo with your name written on the back
• A copy of passport (identity and visa page)
• If applicable, include evidence of attaining prior Le Cordon Bleu Certificates or Diplomas
• Enclose a non-refundable application fee of £500 per Certificate, £1,500 for a Diploma or Le Grand Diplôme course (to be deducted from tuition fees)

Prospective students must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must have completed high school or equivalent.

Stage 2

Admission Proposal Package

Upon receipt and acceptance of your application, supporting documents and non-refundable application fee by the Admissions Jury, Le Cordon Bleu will email you an Admission Proposal Package. Your Admission Proposal Package will include:

1. Admission proposal letter stating:
   • the name of the course you applied for
   • the course starting date and ending date
   • the amount we received
   • the balance amount and due date
   • orientation time and date
2. Payment form for the balance of fees
3. A copy of our Terms and Conditions
4. Academic and Administration Policy and Procedures

The registration process can take up to 2 weeks. If you do not receive your admission proposal package by email within 3 weeks, please contact us.

Ten weeks before the course starts, you will receive a payment form for the balance of the total course fees. The balance of fees must be paid in cleared funds no less than six weeks prior to the commencement of the course(s).

Only students whose tuition fees are paid in full will be permitted to begin class.

Stage 3

Confirmation of enrolment

Upon receipt of the full course fee payment, Le Cordon Bleu will email you a confirmation of enrolment letter.

If you require an official letter to assist with a visa application, Le Cordon Bleu cannot issue such a document before you have submitted full payment of the fees for the course(s) you have enrolled on. If the visa application is unsuccessful, only an official letter from a British Consulate, Embassy or High Commission will sanction a full refund of fees paid in advance by you to Le Cordon Bleu.

No refund will be made if your visa expires or is not extended in the middle of the course you enrolled on.

Students who need to apply for a visa will require sufficient time to obtain a visa. It can take more than six weeks after your visa application in some countries, therefore it is advised to complete enrolment as early as possible. Due to the ongoing requirements of the UK Border Control and so as to assist you if required, we would suggest that all applicants requiring a visa to study in the UK, obtain the equivalent of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level B2.
