Le Cordon Bleu Dusit (LCBD) in Bangkok, Thailand, was ranked in the top 3 culinary schools in Asia at the 2009 World Gourmet Summit Awards in Singapore.
LCBD is also publishing its first cookbook on Somtum in 2009 - celebrating a famous Thai dish of spicy papaya salad and offering 22 wonderfully creative Somtum fusion recipes such as Somtum cake.
In 2009 LCBD will also offer short courses such as Barista, Bakery and Wine studies. In 2010 the school will offer a 4th level recognized as a professional level to the Classic Cycle program and will introduce a 360 hour professional Thai cuisine course - a program co-developed with Dusit, our joint venture partners.
The school helps support "The Foundation for Children" in Bangkok which looks after orphans, and neglected or abandoned children through the supply of food products and donations as an act of social corporate responsibility.
