Farm trips

On Sunday, 17th May a group of our students boarded the bus and headed up to Hahndorf. This beautiful little township is in the picturesque Adelaide Hills and is renowned as the premier tourist town in the region.

When we first arrived the students had the chance to wander through the street and investigate the shops. They also managed to sample a bit of the fine German hospitality. We then headed up to the Hahndorf Farm Barn where to everyone's delight we were greeted at the bus by Malcolm from the Farm leading an amazing alpaca.

After a tasty Aussie Bush Barbecue Luncheon which included original Aussie Damper, Kangaroo Steak, Saltbush Lamb Burger and Sausages and Chicken Shaslicks everyone had the opportunity to mingle with the farm animals which included guinea pigs, rabbits, baby lambs and baby chickens. Some of the students were even brave enough to milk "Daisy" the cow.

See you at the next event!
