All eyes were set on the Cook Book Corner, hosted by Gourmand, where the finest selection of Chefs from all around the world demonstrated live! 22 Celebrity Chefs from all around the world prepared selected dishes from their own cookbooks for the audience... assisted by highly skilled students from Le Cordon Bleu London.
Our own Le Cordon Bleu Chef Stuart Conibear cooked Kimchi, this traditional Korean ingredient, using his French savoir-faire to create a unique dish of “Kimchi, Oyster and Chestnut Galette Bressane” , much to the delight of the audience. This exquisite recipe was taken from Le Cordon Bleu cookbook, “Korean Kimchi & Le Cordon Bleu: A Meeting of Flavours, Tastes and Cultures”.
Le Cordon Bleu has developed this cook book on Kimchi with the objective of promoting the famous Korean ingredient internationally, and to demonstrate a wider use of Kimchi in gourmet cuisine for food lovers all over the world. The recipes have been inspired by the classic French repertoire while finding an innovative use of Kimchi in occidental cuisine.
