Culinary Photography Workshops at Le Cordon Bleu Paris For the International Festival of Culinary Photography 2012
Le Cordon Bleu Paris will participate in the 2012 International Festival of Culinary Photography. This year, the theme of the festival is "The Egg". Two photography workshops will be organized at Le Cordon Bleu Paris School.
Monday, November 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.- "An approach to food photography, from concept to shooting" Workshop led by photographer Margaret Skinner assisted by Franta Barton, with Chef Frank Poupard.
Topics include:
Presentation of different photographic styles through culinary photographs by Margaret Skinner
The choice of the recipe to be photographed
The styling and the staging of the image
The angle of the shot
The depth of field
Taming light: natural / electronic flash units
Questions about retouching
Thursday, November 8 From 6:30p.m. to 8:30p.m.- "Overview of food photography" Workshop led by photographer Emilie Gentils with Chef Jean-François Deguignet - www.thefoodeye.com.
Practical part: 2 photo shoots will be organized with the participants but with two different approaches (lighting, shot angles/framing, styling). Shot development with the participants. Each participant is invited to bring their own camera (digital or film) to use during the practical course.
