| Discover the art of vegetarian cooking in Paris! |
| The brand new guide “A Vegetarian in Paris” takes the lid off vegetarian food in the French capital. Discover a selection of the best address in Paris, from traditional restaurants to ethnic eateries, while taking in gourmet food stores and cookery courses on the way. |
| Published in India, the book was originally devised by Rashmi Uday Singh to meet a growing demand from Indian tourists visiting the capital. The guide is also aimed at readers who enjoy this type of cooking and others who may just be curious. |
| “A Vegetarian in Paris” devotes a section to the courses run by the Cordon Bleu School in Paris. The Cordon Bleu offers a number of cooking and pastry workshops, including vegetarian cooking workshops, which attract more than 3,000 enthusiasts each year. Supervised by a chef, the participants explore the world of ingredients, follow step by step instruction in culinary techniques, and come away at the end of the course with their own creation to share among friends. |
| For several years, the culinary arts course has attracted, among others, an increasing number of Indian students. There has also been a significant increase in the number of Indian students following the longer cuisine and pastry courses over several months. |

| Gourmand World Cookbook Award winner Rashmi Uday Singh is the author of more than 28 cook books and guides published in India; her name has been synonymous with good food for the past two decades. After graduating in law and management, she worked with the India Revenue Service for fifteen years, rising to Deputy Commissioner before deciding to leave and follow her dream. She writes about the food cultures of the world in the Times of India, the Bombay Times and the Chennai Times and also has her own TV show (Foodies Fundas with Rasmi Uday Singh). |
