The 1st national JCR competition in Korea

Le Cordon Bleu-Sookmyung Academy participated in the ‘1st Concours National des Jeunes Commis Rôtisseurs’ as one of the major host. Over 70 guests attended from major hotels, restaurants, hospitality-relating associations and media-9 competitors, 12 judges. Le Cordon Bleu Executive chef Philippe Bachmann and Laurent Beltoise took part in the competition as a kitchen supervisor. The winner of this national competition will be invited to the international Jeunes Commis Rôtisseurs Competition 2008 which will be held in Paris, France on 19th September 2008. Also 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner are invited to attend a gala dinner on 16th June at Sofitel Ambassador Hotel sponsored by French Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery. Le Cordon Bleu-Sookmyung Academy involved the overall competition in cooperation with Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and Sopexa. We contributed facilities, ingredients (common table), give-away for competitors (Kimchi book) as well as awards reception.
