Min-Sung Ko, Pastry department, Representative of Atelier Meringue, Instructor of baking class

Pastry Diploma 2007

Min-Sung Ko graduated from the Pastry Diploma program in 2007. She loved to cook since childhood, and she remembers her happiest moments to be when people enjoyed her food. She majored in food and nutrition based on her interests and worked as a nutritionist at a company. She quit her job to pursue her dream at Le Cordon Bleu-Sookmyung Academy. At first, she was a beginner who could not even bake simple cookies. However through the precise and step-by-step teaching by the chefs at Le Cordon Bleu, she was able to build up a solid foundation in baking. The teaching process of Le Cordon Bleu such as the alternate demonstration and practical lessons have been especially very helpful to her at work to this day.

After graduation from Le Cordon Bleu, she started work at a bakery. Later, she ran a cafe with her classmates from Le Cordon Bleu-Sookmyung Academy for two years. Presently, she is managing ‘Atelier Meringue’ and teaching baking to students. She is also an instructor of baking classes at Shinsegae academy, The Fingers academy and the Fissler cooking class. Her message to future students is that they should learn with joy and try to make every knowledge their own. Her lifelong dream is to open a sweet shop with her name when she has completed developing 50 kinds of her own menu.
