Print this page
Le Cordon Bleu London, June 10th 2008 from 9.00 to 12.00

As concern grows over the risk of food shortages and instability in dozens of low-income countries, global attention is turning to an age-old crop that could help ease the strain of food price inflation: the Potato!

The United Nations have declared 2008 the International Year of the Potato, with a goal to raise awareness of the key role played by the "humble tuber" in agriculture, the economy and world food security.

In an effort to support the United Nations’ action and to promote the enjoyment and delights of cooking with potatoes, Le Cordon Bleu chefs will demonstrate 4 original and easy to prepare at home recipes on Tuesday 10th June 2008 between 9.00am and 12.00pm.
We would be delighted to welcome you on this occasion to rediscover the potato and its hidden flavours. If you would like to attend this event, please let us know at your earliest convenience at london@cordonbleu.edu.

This event is organised with the support of the Potato Council (www.britishpotatoes.co.uk). For more information on the United Nations International Year of the Potato 2008, please visit www.potato2008.org.
