A Worldwide Celebration

Le Cordon Bleu in partnership with Sopexa is participating in the opening event to launch of the 5th annual “l’Apéritif à la française”. This year’s opening event will be held on Wednesday, May 21st at 7:00 PM in Paris at the Cabaret Sauvage in Parc de la Villette – Cité des Science. Michel Barnier, French Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries will be among the special guests in attendance.

The theme for the launch is “The Apéritif à la Française Takes You to Asia”. AT Korea Agro Fisheries Trade Corporation , who has been a partner with Le Cordon Bleu since its collaboration for the promotional book “Korean Kimchi & Le Cordon Bleu: A Meeting of Flavors, Tastes and Cultures” will join with Le Cordon Bleu students to prepare a Korean buffet.

Le Cordon Bleu will also join Sopexa India on June 5th in a culinary tribute to French wine and cuisine at the Shangri-la Hotel in Delhi, India.

“L’apéritif” is a gathering before dinner with service of appetizers and beverages. This honored tradition in France is considered a privileged moment of conviviality that exemplifies the art of living in France.

"l’Apéritif à la française" was created by Sopexa, under the direction of Dominique Chardon, President, and the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to promote French foods and beverages internationally. On June 5th, 38 cities throughout the world will host events in a variety of venues and themes with tastings of regional specialties to celebrate “l’Apéritif à la française”.
