Le Cordon Bleu Australia is now an approved educational provider under the Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP) immigration program for their higher education Bachelor and Master degrees offered in Australia.
Effective 22nd March 2014, international students applying to study at the Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide and Sydney campuses will be eligible for Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP), whereby the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) will process all higher education (sub class 573) student visa applications under a low migration risk criteria.
For most applications this means faster processing times required for their visa application. However, the SVP arrangements require Le Cordon Bleu Australia’s offices to rigorously assess each applicant’s intentions as a genuine temporary entrant (GTE) to Australia.
How do I apply using the Steamlined Visa Processing (SVP) program?
Le Cordon Bleu Australia has developed an internal assessment process to manage the risk posed by applicants from various countries and regions. Applicants from countries deemed Assessment Levels 1 (as determined by the information made public by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection) will need to complete the Applicant Eligibility Checklist and Additional Information Checklist addressing the GTE criteria and explicitly acknowledge their obligations as an international student in Australia on a student visa.
Applications from countries presently under Assessment Levels 2 and 3 will be required to complete the Applicant Eligibility Checklist and Additional Information Checklist that provides more information on the GTE criteria. Both the documents aim to minimise visa refusals and assist us in identifying genuine students who plan to stay in Australia temporarily and abide by the conditions of their student visa. Applicants from Assessment Levels 2 and 3 countries are also required to complete the Financial Declaration form along with evidence of funds which is needed at the time of acceptance. The financial declaration form provides information on the evidence of funds from a prospective applicant.
SVP requires that Le Cordon Bleu Australia has a greater responsibility for students’ compliance with the conditions of their student visa, and students should be aware that they may have their visa cancelled due to the following reasons:
If you would like more information on the SVP process, please visit the Department of Immigration and Border Protection information page or email Le Cordon Bleu directly.
