Academic Director

Le Cordon Bleu, specialists in culinary, hospitality and gastronomy education seeks the services of a senior executive Academic Director [Higher Learning] to advise the international group regarding its educational product range.

Although located in Adelaide, the Academic Director would be required to advise the international network of schools, assist the Australian Academic Board of Cordon Bleu and provide specialist input to the peak quality assurance body of Cordon Bleu, called La Fondation.

The Academic Director will have:

- a sound knowledge of hospitality and gastronomy management requirements bothat undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- ability to advise regarding framework, structure, content, assessment and methodology requirements within the hospitality management field
- a sound knowledge of the Australian educational framework
- excellent interpersonal skills in order to undertake ambassadorial roles on behalf of Cordon Bleu especially with partners, government and industry
- an understanding of industry needs at both local, national and international level
- hold post graduate qualifications, preferably in either education or hospitality management areas
- be aware of recent research relating to the management needs of hospitality and gastronomy
- a requirement to undertake international travel

Conditions and package are negotiable

The Cordon Bleu network of schools embraces some 35 schools within 16 countries and has a graduate output of around 22,000 annually. It offers qualifications from certificate to post graduate, consultancy, chef demonstrations, short courses, professional development programs, related food products and cook books
